NYC Metro Area for Abdul

A Special Note on Maximizing Your Generosity

Welcome to our independent NYC Metro fundraiser! We are incredibly grateful for your dedication to our movement and your desire to see Abdul representing us in the U.S. Senate. As we face a massive spending disadvantage against well-funded Super PACs blanketing the airwaves with attack ads calling our platform "dangerously radical," we want to ensure your generosity makes the greatest possible impact against the corporate interests we are up against.

To protect the integrity of our elections, federal campaign finance laws ensure that direct contributions to candidates are capped. Here is how we can honor those rules while still giving Abdul the robust, people-powered support he needs to stay competitive through November:

Step 1: The Standard Campaign Limit

For the 2025–2026 election cycle, the FEC sets a contribution limit of $3,500 per election directly to a candidate's campaign (meaning up to $7,000 total across the primary and general elections).[1] If you have not yet reached this limit, your direct support here is the foundation of our grassroots effort.

Step 2: Amplify Your Impact

Have you already generously maxed out your direct contribution? Or are you registering for our NYC event and looking to extend your support? We invite you to direct your funds to our allied Hybrid PAC.

A Hybrid PAC (also known as a Carey Committee) maintains a separate non-contribution account that can accept unlimited donations to legally fund essential independent expenditures.[2] Thanks to recent FEC rulings confirming that independent paid canvassing does not constitute an illegal coordinated communication,[3] this ensures your support works tirelessly to fund on-the-ground voter mobilization completely by the book.

This campaign is 100% funded by people like you. Thank you for your enduring commitment to our democracy!

Paid for by independent volunteers of NYC Metro Area for Abdul and not authorized by any candidate or candidate's committee.[4]
